December 6, 2018, Vernon Hills, IL – Fuji America Corporation will unveil the SmartWing Robot System at the Apex Expo in San Diego, California, from January 29-31. Fuji’s compact, multi-joint SmartWing makes robotic automation simple and accessible to all. The product offers easy set up and is shipped with pre-calibrated camera settings for use shortly after factory arrival. SmartWing requires no teaching. By using coordinate compensation technology, easily specify movement just by entering coordinate instructions. In addition, a high resolution color camera with 2 million pixels comes standard with the robot. Workpiece colors and backgrounds can be detected in addition to reading 2D codes (including QR and data matrix) is supported.

In addition to SmartWing, Fuji will also be demonstrating their full line of PCB assembly platforms including AIMEXIII with quick change head technology, screen printers, automation tools, smart feeders, sFab, and the NXTIII in a complete Smart Line featuring Nexim factory control software. Also featured is sTowerII with auto parts storage and checkout system based on production requirements.
